Chinese is one of the most important strategic languages, and a popular minor-degree program at Norwich. Courses are open to students of all disciplines who are interested in the Chinese language, culture, history, society, economy and international relations.
Norwich’s program teaches Mandarin Chinese, regarded as the standard language spoken in China and Taiwan. The program utilizes innovated textbooks and supplementary audio/visual materials. Teaching methods engage students in active learning of how to speak, write and read.
