    Publish, broadcast, perform

The humanities come alive through co-curricular activities

By encouraging students to publish, broadcast and perform, the School of Humanities has its hand in some of the most visible and dynamic activities on campus.

These include the student newspaper, The Norwich Guidon; the student-produced video newsmagazine, Our American Journey; the campus literary magazine, Chameleon; the literary culture and news magazine, Work Sighted; the student radio station, WNUB-FM; the campus theatrical troupe, The Pegasus Players; Sigma Tau Delta — an honor society for English majors and minors; and such musical organizations as the Regimental Band, the Pipes and Drums Band and the Campus Choraleers.

The Department of Modern Languages sponsors clubs and activities open to all students, including the Chinese Club, the French Club and the Spanish Club. The German program sponsors a weekly German-language film with subtitles in English. Stammtisch, an informal German conversation hour, is open to German speakers at all levels. The Spanish program also sponsors an informal conversation hour, Mesa Redonda, open to Spanish speakers of all levels.
