Telling the stories of people
The School of Humanities helps its students to develop a mature, sophisticated and thoughtful understanding of the nature of the human condition.
Through literature, film, language, television and a variety of media, students learn to analyze and interpret what it means to be human, and to tell stories with empathy and clarity.
Practical and intuitive
Norwich students learn by doing. That is why our graduates go into the workplace with a reputation for being able to get things done, and for holding themselves to a high standard. Documentaries created by our television production unit have won national recognition, including an Emmy award. Humanities students have been nominated for prestigious Rhodes and Fulbright scholarships.
